OUR CAREER CONSULTANTS The BEARS TEAM consultants have many years of practical experience with qualifications in education an/or business. They are members of professional organisations such as the Career Development Association of Australia, the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS (Year 10 & below - click here) (Year 11 & 12 - click here) Whilst completing our Career Interest Review assessment, school reports are reviewed. An analysis of relevant courses and career pathways is conducted with the use of extensive and 'relevant to you' University, TAFE, Private College and employment information on display. The preparation of an Action Plan/Ladder of Life for the next 5-8 years outlines possible future options and how to achieve these. Follow-up appointments with a parent attending are usually for one hour and can review information on study skills and to update achievements and targets in the Action Plan. Please refer to our Secondary Student pages for further information. TERTIARY STUDENTS (University Students) (TAFE and Private College Students) Students undertaking tertiary study meet with our career advisers and complete the Career Interest Assessment. Then we discuss information on course options, timetables, majors, costs and other topics as listed on our Tertiary Student pages. An Action Plan or Ladder of Life for the next 5-8 years is constructed. Follow-up appointments occur as needed to ensure plans are being achieved or plans can be changed without damaging GPAs or Year 12 OP Scores. Information on graduate employment opportunities and changes in the labour market can be explained. PEOPLE WORKING FULL OR PART TIME (click here) For those people in the workforce who wish to ‘review their direction’ or ‘find a different direction’, a Career Interest Assessment is completed with either parents, partners or individually. Please refer to our Mature Age page for specific details on how The BEARS TEAM can help. These appointments may include information on how to establish one's own business or consultancy practice or whether further studies/training is needed. | |||||||||||||
